As a family of Chinese refugees from the Cambodian civil war, the family members started working labour-intensive jobs to provide for their new lives in Switzerland. To make ends meet, the family started selling homemade spring rolls at fun fairs, discovering their passion for hospitality. In 1987, they realised their dream of opening the first Suan Long in Zurich. In the coming years, additional locations and brands, such as Scent of Bamboo, quickly followed suit.
Since then, we have strived to redefine the standard for Asian food in Zurich.
In our hectic world, we pride ourselves in delivering freshly cooked meals for our guests and helping them to slow down and giving them a break in an inviting setting. Our restaurants are located in bustling traffic spots and therefore right on your way, letting your mind wander off whilst enjoying amazing Asian food.
